1. YOUR PRIVACY & DISCORD DEVELOPER POLICY
Ensuring your privacy is our top priority. We operate in strict accordance with the Discord Developer Terms of Service and Developer Policy. Medhat is a transparent, open-source project; you can review our full source code at our public repository. We only collect the technical data absolutely necessary to provide a smooth, reliable experience for all users and communities across Discord.
2. DATA COLLECTION PROTOCOL
We do not collect personal, real-world identifiable information or Discord usernames. Our systems interact strictly with technical identifiers. Additionally, message context is never saved to our database; messages are processed temporarily in volatile memory (RAM) strictly for anti-spam verification and are immediately discarded.
- • Technical Discord Identifiers: User IDs (to identify your account), Discord Server (Guild) IDs (to save specific configurations and server settings per guild), Channel IDs (to facilitate proper logging and system messages), and Role IDs (to manage in-game items tied to Discord roles).
- • Bot Usage Metrics: General interaction data such as feature usage and configuration states to maintain overall stability and performance.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
Your Discord data is utilized exclusively for core functionality, including:
- • Service Delivery: Saving server-specific preferences, roles, and user settings so you do not have to reconfigure them manually.
- • Activity Verification (Quests): The bot monitors message activity strictly to verify if a user has sent a message to complete a quest or reach a leaderboard milestone. The actual content of these messages is irrelevant and is not read, stored, or analyzed.
- • Security & Maintenance: Monitoring for errors, preventing abuse, and ensuring the bot operates safely within your server.
NO EXTERNAL DATA SHARING: We do not sell, trade, or share your account identifiers or server data with any third-party marketing companies, advertisers, or analytics brokers under any circumstances.
4. USER DATA RIGHTS & DELETION
You maintain ultimate control over your data footprint. Since our systems only store technical IDs and counters (and do not archive usernames or message history), there is effectively no personal data to be deleted beyond these functional identifiers. However, you still have the right to request a purge of your technical records at any time.
To request a data purge, please submit a formal request via email to: [email protected]. Once verified, all associated technical data will be permanently removed from our systems.
5. DATA RETENTION LIMITS
We retain your Discord identifiers and server configurations strictly to provide a seamless experience. This ensures that if the bot is temporarily removed or goes offline, your community's saved configs and settings are preserved without requiring a full manual reset. Data is retained securely unless a permanent deletion request is submitted by the user or server owner.
6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY COMPLIANCE
We adhere to Discord's Terms of Service and COPPA guidelines by not knowingly collecting data from users under the age of 13. If we discover that a user under 13 has utilized our services, we will immediately purge all associated data.
7. SECURITY MEASURES
All databases and configurations are hosted on secured, private infrastructure with restricted, encrypted access. We follow strict industry best practices to prevent unauthorized data access and maintain the integrity of your community's settings.
8. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY
As our features evolve and Discord updates its policies, we may revise this document to remain fully compliant. The "Effective Date" at the top will reflect the most recent changes to our data handling practices.
